It’s dark and rainy and it’s STILL January. But remember, the flowers are coming… Here are eight things to see over the next few weeks and months to help you keep going until then.
Emma Kathleen Hepburn Ferrer at Sapar Contemporary. See Audrey Hepburn’s granddaughter’s first solo show, The Scapegoat in New York until 15th February.

Left: Toklas Citrus Market, 8th February, 10am - 3pm. Visit Toklas Bakery for pastries and other delights celebrating citrus from Todoli in Valencia.
Right: Isabella Ducrot at Sadie Coles Gallery, 18th January - 15th February at 62 Kingly Street W1. Textile works looking at the vase of flowers.
The Gimlet Eye x Rosie Ramsden watercolour workshop. There are only a few tickets left to join this online class with Rosie on Monday 3rd February, 7.30pm. We’ll be exploring Winter Landscapes and learning how to make a visual diary. Tickets here.

Left: Wings of a Butterfly at Ingleby Gallery, Edinburgh, 1st February - 19th April. Artworks responding to Pierre Bonnard’s final diary entry, written in 1946, “I should like to present myself to the young painters of the year 2000 with the wings of a butterfly”.
Right: Cecil Beaton’s Garden Party, 14th May - 21st September. I’m already looking forward to this at The Garden Museum.

Left: The Gorgeous Nothings: Flowers at Chatsworth, 15th March - 5th October. See cyanotypes by Anna Atkins, Madonna della Rosa by Domenichino and flowers cast in concrete by Alessandro Piangiamore.
Right: Lottie Coles’ Iris painting is just one of the works that will be on display at the Saatchi Gallery’s upcoming exhibition, Flowers - Flora in Contemporary Art and Culture, 12th February - 5th May.
I’m obsessed with the strange and ethereal photographs of Jennifer Latour. Wild Species is a series of imagined specimens that feel mythical and hopeful. Find her prints at Open Doors Gallery.
Until next time…
I know i can't believe it's still January. Some lovely things here to make us smile. The Saachi in particular looks fab. And I am very much looking forward to the watercolour evening. x
Took three friends to see Isabella Ducrot yesterday - what a delight!
