I’m so excited to announce the first edition of The Gimlet Eye’s Art Club.
I want this substack to have an interactive aspect - with workshops, talks and classes so that people can get involved and I can (hopefully) meet lots of you along the way. Thinking along those lines I recently discovered the brilliant Megan Fatharly. Meg is a printmaker and artist who has made Christmas decorations for Fortnum & Mason and the V&A. Her twinkly ornaments are so full of character.
In this Zoom class she’s going to teach us all about metal embossing and show us how to make three beautiful decorations - an owl, a bow and a pear. The ticket link is below - when you sign up you’ll receive a kit in the post with everything you need for the class at home.
Please do join me and ask friends and family along too. I’m really looking forward to a cosy winter’s evening making unique decorations to give as presents or tie to the tree.
